STEP 1:
 Slide the 2 bolts into the center holes of the cover and partially engage them into the        metal insert.
(NOTE: 2 bolts are used to secure the cover to the insert, which prevents the insert from      spinning inside the post while tightening the bolts. This makes installation much
   easier!)

STEP 2:
Hold the cover so that it is horizontal, then insert the "metal insert" into the post through the hand hole opening so that it is inside the post and the cover is flat against the hand hole opening.

STEP 3:
While holding the cover flat against the hand hole opening, rotate the cover 90 degrees so it is vertical.

STEP 4:
Tighten the center 2 bolts.

   

Our handhole covers form a water tight seal with the handhole opening, which prevents water from infiltrating into the post. By preventing water infiltration into the post, you will be preventing corrosion of the post interior at the base. Corrosion leads to section loss of the post, which can lead to catastrophic failure of the post/structure.
